We aim to foster and promote interest in flute choir repertoire and its performance, to encourage individual musicians to participate in its performance, and to enhance the repertoire by encouraging new composition and publication and transcription of new flute choir music.
To this end, we perform for the public four to five times per year. Past venues have included the Van Dusen Garden Show, Seattle Flute Choir Festival, Point Roberts Trinity Chamber Concert Series, and elder care facilities and community events. Check out our upcoming performances.
With financial assistance from the Brannen Cooper Fund and the North Shore Arts Council, we have commissioned and performed an original work by a BC composer and an arrangement of Gershwin tunes by a former flute choir member.
Each year we organize a flute choir workshop with the Academy Flute Choir in Victoria, BC, involving flute choirs from Victoria, Penticton, and Seattle.
